To receive your earnings from ReverbNation, you'll need to set up a payout method.
This guide explains how to set up your payout preferences, understand applicable fees and taxes, review your earnings, and find out when you can expect to receive your payments.
How do I set up my payout method?
When you have earnings available for payment, you'll be prompted to set up a payout method.
- Go to your account's payment settings .
- Under Payout Method, click Connect next to Tipalti.
- Enter the required information, including your contact details and preferred payout method, then click Next.
- You'll be returned to the Settings page with your payout method set up.
Payouts are made in USD. If you select another currency, an additional currency conversion fee of up to 3% may apply.
Are there any fees or taxes on my earnings?
Your earnings may be subject to applicable taxes and fees before your payment is sent.
These may include:
- Withholding tax: Tax deducted from qualifying royalty payments where required under applicable tax regulations.
- Distribution-related fees: Applicable deductions associated with the distribution and collection of royalties.
- Payment-provider fees: Transaction fees charged for transferring money through your selected payout method.
ReverbNation does not charge an additional service fee simply for processing your payout.
Certain royalty payments may be subject to Singapore withholding tax. This is a tax requirement, not a service fee retained by ReverbNation.

What are the fees for different payout methods?
The following payment-provider fees apply to the available payout methods:
- PayPal International: $0.50 + 2% (up to $20)
- PayPal Domestic: $0.50 + 2% (up to $1)
- ACH (U.S. only): $0.50 per payment
- Check: $1.99 per payment
- Local Bank Transfer / SEPA: $3.50 per payment
- International USD Wire: $26 per payment
- International FX Wire Transfer: $20 per payment
- U.S. Domestic Wire: $15 per payment
These fees are separate from applicable withholding tax and distribution-related deductions.
Additional currency conversion or receiving bank fees may apply depending on your payout method.
Why is my payout lower than my Earnings Balance?
Your Earnings Balance on the My Earnings dashboard may show earnings before applicable taxes, fees, and final payout approval.
This means the amount displayed may be higher than the amount you eventually receive.
Your final payment may reflect:
- Applicable withholding tax
- Distribution-related deductions
- Payment-provider fees
- Currency conversion fees, if applicable
Your Payout History shows the final amounts processed for payment.
We're continuing to improve how gross earnings, deductions, and net payments are displayed in ReverbNation V2.
If your payout does not match what you expected, please contact ReverbNation Support so we can review your account.
When will I receive my earnings?
Royalties are processed monthly after we receive and review the relevant earnings reports from our distribution partners.
Once your earnings have been processed and approved, eligible payments are submitted through Tipalti.
Payments are generally processed towards the end of the month, although the exact timing may vary depending on when reports are received, payout approval, and your selected payment method.
Once a payment has been submitted, your payment provider or bank may require additional processing time.
You can check your payment information in your Payout History.
Is there a minimum payout threshold?
The minimum payout amount is $5 USD.
If your balance is below $5 after applicable taxes and fees, your earnings will be held until the minimum payout amount is reached.
What happens to earnings from Legacy ReverbNation?
If you have remaining earnings in your previous ReverbNation Credit account, these may need to be withdrawn separately from your ReverbNation V2 earnings.
If you cannot access or withdraw your remaining Legacy balance, please contact ReverbNation Support.
Our team can review your account and help you with the available withdrawal process.
Future eligible royalty payments are processed through Tipalti once your V2 payout method is configured.
