Depending on the email client you use, the following steps may differ. However, since Gmail tends to work best with ReverbNation, and is also a reliable email source, we do encourage that you use Gmail as the email client for your Site Builder email addresses. Please be aware that we can only assist you in creating email addresses for domains that are currently registered through ReverbNation.
To setup your custom email on Gmail:
- Create your email address by going to Tools>Site Builder>Settings>Email. You will be able to create up to 5 custom email addresses using the domain that you registered through ReverbNation. You will also need to choose the password for the email address.
- Log into the gmail account that you will use to access and manage these email addresses.
- Select the gear icon to the upper right of your inbox and select Settings>Accounts and Import>Check mail from other accounts (using POP3)>Add a POP3 mail account you own.
- Enter your email address and select “Next Step”. You will then want to enter the following information:
- Username - complete email address (youremail@yourdomain.com)
- Password- password that you created when creating the email address on ReverbNation
- POP Server - mail.gandi.net Port - 110
- Select “Add Account” then select “Yes, I want to be able to send mail as ….”
- You will be presented with your new email information. you will want to choose “Treat as an alias” and choose “Next Step”.
- Enter the following information: SMTP Server - mail.gandi.net Port - 465
- Username - complete email address (youremail@yourdomain.com)
- Password- password that you created when creating the email address on Reverberation
- Secured connection using SSL
- Select “Add Account”.
- You will then receive a verification email to your gmail inbox. You either click the link provided or paste the code to begin receiving and sending mail to and from your new email address. Send emails from your new Site Builder custom email by using pull down on the Gmail From area of your New Message window.
